Erma Jean Purcell

Erma Jean Purcell, 90, of McLeansboro, IL, formerly of Robinson, died on August 11, 2019 at 7:00 AM at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi, IL. Erma was born on October 25, 1928 in Crawford County to Pearley Pickit Lewis & Minnie Ola Dispinnet Butler, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Burner Brush in 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1955. She later married Mickie Purcell in 1959, he preceded her in death in 2001. Erma was also preceded in death by her brothers: Roscoe Butler, Don Lewis and Raymond Lewis; sisters, Phoebe Dudley and Neva McIntosh and a grandson, Walter Brush. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Rick & Sue Brush, Tulsa OK; Ted and Linda Brush, Robinson, IL; Larry & Tilda Brush, Farmington, AR, one son, Jerry Purcell, IN and by seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren: sisters-in-law; Ann Lewis, Oblong, IL and Marie Purcell, Robinson, IL as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Robinson New Cemetery with Rev. Tom Akers officiating.
