JoAnn Margaret Albert Family Was Her Greatest Joy TORRINGTON – JoAnn Margaret Albert, 70, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Paul W. Albert. JoAnn was born in Winsted on December 21, 1948, a daughter of the late Harry and Esther (Milburn) Coon. JoAnn loved Bingo, scratch off tickets and playing Pokeno. One of her greatest joys was spending time with and taking care of her family and the love they shared. She is survived by her granddaughter, Krystal Ramos and her husband, Jose, who provided loving care to JoAnn while she fought ALS for seven long years; her son, George Smith; her daughters, Robbin Smith, Millissa Smith and Pamela Rinaldi; her sisters, June Coon, Nancy Basso and Esther “Robbin” Coon; her brothers, Harry Coon, Jr. and Duke Bryer; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held from 3 p.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home.
