AL (ALLISON) ROSS LOCKE 1935 – 2019 It is with great sadness that the family of Allison Ross Locke announce his passing at the Green Bay Medical Center in Springdale on August 10, 2019 at the age of 83 years. Allison retired from Sail Labrador Ltd. in 2000 as a deckhand. He was predeceased by his mother Flossie King; father, Alfred Locke and brother Herbert Locke. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Audrey Locke (nee Simms) and his children - Barbara (Paul) of Beaumont, Trudy (Dyson) of Marathon, Ont., Wayne (Madeline) of Manitouwedge, Ont., and Sheila of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn are his brothers - Reuben (Lucy deceased) of Little Bay Islands, Gordon (Leone) of Little Bay; his sister Phyllis (Aden) of Little Catalina; grandchiildren - Amy (Jason) Cook, Adam (Lori) RIdeout, Alex Rideout, Devon (Kaitlyn) Pittman, Jamie Locke, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Locke, Sarah (Ryan) Locke, Pamela (Kris) Goretzki, Casey Coombs:; great grandchildren - Lola, Freya, Evan, Brody, Jenna Mae, Slade, Wylder, Cadance, Erin, Chase, Beau and Ariella. Allison was born in St. Anthony on August 18, 1935 to Alfred and Flossie Locke. In 1958 he married Audrey Simms of Little Bay and they lived on Little Bay Islands. Allison worked as a fisherman, logger and later years he worked on ferry boat. He retired in 2000. When he retired he spent time doing his garden, berry picking in the woods and cutting wood which he enjoyed. Allison was a dear husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Major Gerald Lacey will conduct the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers are Adam Rideout, Alex Rideout, Jeff Locke, Marvin Cooper, Jason Cook and Gordon King.
