Mrs. Kim Pope Strickland, 55, of Dunn died Friday, August 9, 2019 at her home. Kim was born January 16, 1964 in Harnett County. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby D. Pope and brother, Mark K. Pope. Kim was a 1982 graduate of Erwin High School and a 1993 graduate of Johnston Community College. She had worked at Betsy Johnson Hospital for ten years as a C.T. Technologist and was a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at Gospel Tabernacle Church with Pastor Josh Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens. Kim is survived by her husband,  Hank Strickland; son, Jake Strickland and wife Ashley of Mebane; daughter, Anna Strickland Johnson and husband Dwight of Autryville; grandchildren, Mileigh Matthews, Mason, McKenzie and Landon Johnson, Cash and Cage Strickland; mother, Faye Upchurch Jones of Dunn; brother, Bobby Pope of Dunn; sister, Caron Latimer of Angier. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.
