Gwenith Anne Belgarde Snyder, 73, of Adel, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, IA. Gwen was born April 11, 1946 in Adel, IA, daughter of Gregory Howard and Florence Lorene (Richards) Belgarde. She received her education in Adel and married Larry Snyder and they later divorced. Gwen worked most of her life as a mixologist for area bars and restaurants in Adel, Winterset, Waukee and Rathbun. She later became employed for Midwest Opportunities in Creston where she worked as a patient assistant until her retirement. Gwen enjoyed doing craft work which included her well known cakes made from wash cloths. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Gary and Gene Belgarde. She is survived by her two sons; Troy “TC” Snyder (Tina Backen) and daughters Timbre and Codi and Travis (Shawn) Snyder and their children Riata and Colton, three sisters; Glenda (Shorty) Adamson and Gloris (Mickey) Hubel both of Creston, IA and Midge (Pete) Strand and a brother Swede (Tana) Belgarde both of Adel. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2019, at the Brandt Chapel in Dallas Center, IA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Adel. ARRANGEMENTS BY ILES BRANDT CHAPEL.
