Linda M. Hemminger

Linda M. Hemminger, 61, of Marinette, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, while visiting in Lake Geneva, Wis. She was born May 21, 1958 in London, England to Gerald and Mary (Smyth) Van Cleve. Linda came to the United States with her family when her father, serving in the U.S. military, was reassigned to duty stations in the states. The family settled in Menominee where Linda graduated from Menominee High School with the Class of 1976. She was married to Kurt Hemminger in October of 1979. Although she was a stay at home mom, Linda also worked for many years at Westlund Bus Lines as a bus driver. She later worked as a licensed Real Estate agent in Menominee. In recent years she always enjoyed taking bus trips to the casino and loved to dance. She was also a longtime fan of the television shows, General Hospital and Wheel of Fortune. Linda is survived by Kurt Hemminger; two daughters, Beth Hemminger (Jartavis Moss) and Kelli Hemminger (Jesse Stoneburner); four grandchildren, Kaedan, Kinli, Macen and Mckenna; one sister, Tammy Sorenson (Gary); three brothers, Danny (Tina) Van Cleve, Tom (Renee) Van Cleve and Glenn (Linda) Van Cleve; nieces and nephews; and her former mother-in-law, Anita Hemminger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant brothers; an infant niece; and former father-in-law, George Hemminger. Visitation will be at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette on Monday, August 12, 2019, from 4 until 5 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Dave Pennell officiating. Lindas family extends a special thank you to her caregivers from REM.
