TRESSA JAN BERENDT, 60, of Cass City, formerly of Eastpointe, died suddenly Tuesday, August 6, 2019 in her home. She was born September 13, 1958 in Corbin, Kentucky to Bob and Eva Mae (Jones) West. She married Raymond Berendt II on November 20, 1976 in Detroit. Tressa graduated from Osborn High School in 1976. She worked for Detroit Public Schools. Tressa loved her family and spending holidays with them, especially Christmas. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. Camping trips and baking with them were extra special to her. Tressa also enjoyed gardening and collectibles. Tressa is survived by her husband Raymond; son, Raymond Daniel (Ginger) Berendt of Attica; daughter, Amanda Jane Berendt of Cass City; sister, Lisa Ann West of Farmington Hills, grandchildren: Zakriah, Zayen, Jannah, Safiah, Trinity, and Liliana. Tressa is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Jane West Crumbley; brother, Bobby Gerald West. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 in Cass City Missionary Church with Pastor Phil Burkett officiating. Memorials may be made to Cass City Missionary Church.
