ALEXANDRIA, IN – Dale G. Hunt, 73, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Providence of Anderson following an extended illness. He was born on October 22, 1945 in Alexandria to John Sr. and Dorothy (Comstock) Hunt. He was a graduate of Highland High School-Class of 1963. Dale was a commercial truck driver for many years retiring in 2000. He was a former member of Alexandria and Anderson Eagles lodges. Dale was a ham radio operator and had held a private pilot’s license at one time. He was a volunteer fireman for the Edgewood Fire Department and had served on the Madison County Haz-Mat Response Team. Survivors: Son-Wesley (Joan) Hunt-Anderson 2 Sisters-Wyanita (Gary) Haynes-Daleville, Dottie Hewlitt-Anderson 6 Grandchildren 5 Great-Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-John Hunt Jr., Joseph Hunt and Mark Hunt Services honoring Dale’s life and legacy will take place at 1 pm on Monday, August 12, 2019 in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria with Pastor Gary Klinger officiating. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. Friends may call at the Owens Funeral Home from 4 pm to 6 pm on Sunday.
