Robert “Bob” DeWitt Spear, 69, of Hutsonville, IL, formerly of Shelbyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Heritage Health Care Assisted Living in Hutsonville, IL. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL is assisting the family. Bob was born on December 31, 1949, in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Dean Edward and Roberta Louise (DeWitt) Spear. He was a 1968 graduate of Shelbyville High School. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy having served his country from 1967-1974 and was a member of the Roy Vanderpool American Legion Post #81 in Shelbyville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Trudy Kay Davis. Honoring Bob’s wishes, no services will be held. Bob was my Nephew and I have so many memories of him and will hold them. He is in a much happier and safe place now and can have peace and rest. Love you Bob.

Bob was an amazing man who taught me a lot, he was always so helpful and loving to my daughter and I. He will be truly missed!! 😢
