Charles Paul Ballard, 76, of Valdosta, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at his home. He was born in Carrollton, GA, on April 14, 1943 to the late Hugh and Helen Hinesley Ballard. He served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years, serving 3 tours in Vietnam. He was a family man and loved his family and Lord and savior. He built and raced go carts and loved to work with wood. Mr. Ballard is survived by his wife Dorothy Jean Ballard, of Valdosta; two daughters Teresa Ballard Wisenbaker (Dale Haynes), and Helen Ballard, both of Valdosta; six grandchildren Aaron (Arabi) Wisenbaker, Jacob Wisenbaker, Ashton Wisenbaker, Michael Bradley, Viktoria Bradley, Makayla Bradley, all of Valdosta, one great grandchild Nora Shay Wisenbaker, of Valdosta; three brothers and sisters in Carrollton, GA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a special aunt Hazel Bridwell. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Pastor Dale Young officiating.
