Joy Veronica Dixon, 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald James Dixon; parents, William Metzger and Helen Kuester; and 3 children, Carl Dixon, Joy Allen, and Sharon Dixon. She is survived by her sister, Kathy Coats; 7 grandchildren, D.J. Dixon, Khrissy Dixon, Jimmy Allen, Tera Allen, Kathleen Allen, Colleen Allen, and Billy Dixon; and 7 great-grandchildren, Camry Allen, Dominic Dixon, Kanin Jones, Taylor Tinker, Alexis Dixon, Ariah Dixon, and Justin Little. Services for Joy will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Highland Park Funeral Home, 4101 State Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66102. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm with funeral services following from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Interment will immediately follow services at Highland Park Cemetery.
