Robert "Taco" Downes, age 70, of Jasper passed away August 6, 2019 at Pruitt Healthcare in Jasper. He was born September 30, 1948 to Robert and Kathryn Downes.
He is survived by his better half, Kim Allen of Marble Hill; children, Joe Downes of South Carolina, Lisa and Tracy Cox of Jasper, Angie Downes of Jasper, Daniel and Charmagne Dean of Jasper, David and Shannah Dean of Woodstock; sisters, Patricia Johnson of Jasper, Linda Collins of LaVernia, Texas, Becky Lonidier of Colfax, Louisiana; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home and Crematory, Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2019 in the Roper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ben Mock officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
