PALMYRA—Randy L. Raye, 62, died on Saturday, August 3, 2019, surrounded by his loving family in Bangor. Randy was born on August 9, 1956, a son of the late Clifford “Kit” and Joyce (Knox) Raye. He graduated from Maine Central Institute with the class of 1974. He was employed by the Town of Newport and the Palmyra Golf Course, and he enjoyed both jobs immensely. Randy was a likeable guy who enjoyed helping others. He loved the outdoors and took great pride in his gardens. He liked shopping and looking for various antiques with Cindy. He was hard working and enjoyed starting new projects….finishing them was always a challenge for him! He is survived by his daughter, Audrey Raye and her companion Kyle Sirois of Bangor; his companion, Cindy L. Burrell of Palmyra; Cindy’s daughter, Shawna Varrelmann and companion Shawn Weeks of Palmyra; Cindy’s son, Todd Burrell and his wife Casey of Detroit; his special buddies, Ethan and Xander; Audrey’s mother, Rebecca Nash of Palmyra; his special friends: Steve DeBeck, Tom Cyr, and Kirk Dahlgren; and his Siamese cat, Icy. He was predeceased by his parents. No service will be held due to Randy’s wishes.
