Born in New Perlican, Newfoundland in 1932, mom came to the mainland in 1948. She met Charles and the two married in July of 1949. Although Mom never worked outside the home she worked hard inside the home to make her family happy. One of her greatest joys was being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and the many friends who came to visit her on Bishop Rd., Chaffey St., Woolcott and Woodlands of Sunset. Mom was treated with dignity and respect wherever she stayed during her difficult last few months. We would very much like to thank, the Hospital Staff in the ICU unit, 6th and 4th floor staff, all the wonderful nurses, PSWs, and Volunteers of the Woolcott Wing of the Welland General Hospital, and to the staff at Woodlands of Sunset, thank you, you guys were simply awesome in making mom’s short stay a truly most comfortable place to be. We thank you for being there at mom’s side during her final moments. It gives our family much comfort knowing she was not alone when she passed. Thank you to Dr. Ali and the staff of H.L. Cudney Funeral Home for your compassion. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke or a charity of one’s choice. Online condolences available at www.cudneyfuneralhome.com
