Dorothy Schwab Kawkawlin, Michigan Mrs. Schwab, age 89, passed away peacefully at Huron Woods Nursing center following a lingering illness She was born in Kawkawlin on November 4, 1929 to the late George & Augusta (Ott) Wegener. She married Maynard Schwab on April 23, 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son Alan Schwab. Dorothy loved working in the yard, especially her flowers. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Beaver Township. She is survived by her son Neil Schwab and a sister Elaine Dore were important caregivers in her final days, also, surviving two sons Larry & Sue Schwab of Appleton, WI and Lonn & Tamara Schwab of St. Joseph, MI; grandchildren Jeremy & Cindi Schwab of Sister Bay, WI, Brent Schwab and Jennifer Schwab both of St. Joseph; great grandchildren Harrison Schwab, McCartney Schwab, Berkley Schwab and Calvin Schwab all of Sister Bay, WI. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday July 16, 2019 at 1 pm from Rivertown Funeral Chapel with Pastor Seth Hemme presiding with internment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 12 noon until time of services. The family would like to extend a heart felt Thank you to the Huron Woods staff for the kindness and care given to their mom during her time spent there.
