Patricia Fitzgerald Stenstrom, 88, was born on January 22, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, and passed away on July 2, 2019 in The Woodlands, Texas.  Pat graduated from Watseka High School in central Illinois, and later received a B.A. in History and a Master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  She retired after a thirty-year career with the University of Illinois, which she concluded as the Library & Information Science Librarian and Associate Professor of Library Science.  During her tenure she authored many articles and books on academic libraries.  Following her retirement, she moved to Rockport, Texas, where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.  In 2009 she moved to Houston to be closer to her family.  Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Jesse Lewis Fitzgerald and Olga May Farr; brother James Fitzgerald; and sister Ann Fitzgerald Mastrovito.  She is survived by her loving daughter Lynn S. Williams; brother Tom Noel; granddaughters Sarah Williams and Mary W.
