It is with heavy hearts we the family announce the passing of Dianne Marie Campbell, on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital she was surrounded by her family and fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.Dianne was born in New Waterford on March 15, 1946; she was the daughter of the late Damien and Elise (Wilcox) Detienne.She was a member of Calvin United Church. Dianne was a loving, loyal and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, always putting others before herself. She was an accomplished seamstress, a great cook and enjoyed playing darts.Dianne is survived by three sons, Bobby (Marlene), Billy (Karen) and Sheldon (Debbie); daughter, Denise; grandchildren, Alisha, Callie, Caitlyn, Brendan, Alex, Savannah; brothers, Jackie (Karen), Leo, Jimmy (Kay) Willie (Kim), sisters, Deloris (Lenny), Darlene (Charles); many nieces and nephews; special friends, Catherine McMullin, Murgie Campbell, father of her three sons, and Janet Hanrahan. She has a special place in her heart for animals especially her three cats.Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Damien and her companion, Blair MacIsaac.Our heartfelt thanks to all her doctors, the VON and second floor staff of the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital for their wonderful support and compassion.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian cancer society or the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital.In honour of Diannes wishes there will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place under the care and direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. at Calvin United Church, New Waterford, with the Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. Interment will be in Union Grove Cemetery Scotchtown, and a reception will be held immediately following at the Army, Navy, and Air force Unit 217, Wilson Avenue, New Waterford, all are welcome.To express your condolences directly to the family please sign the guestbook on the side menu.
