Lawrence K. Davis, 87, of Marblehead, OH passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026. He was the oldest of three sons born to the late Keith and Helen (Fuller) Davis. Larry was a 1956 graduate of Waite High School and was the Senior Class President.

Larry’s greatest love was fishing on Lake Erie with his dad and grandfather. That love would turn into a life long career, starting L. Davis Fisheries in the early 1960’s. There wasn’t a time of year that he wasn’t hunting, trapping, fishing or planning the next season. Even after “retirement”, he would be out on the lake fishing with his buddies: Charlie, Billy, Doc “Dan” Vet, Doc Weiker, Chris and Kirk and many others.

Larry gave marriage a go a few times until May 1972 when he married Carol (Mariea) Davis. Over their 53 years of marriage, they went on many adventures together with one of his greatest memories being the road trip they took to Alaska. Larry spoke of that trip often.

Surviving are his daughters: Kathy (Jerry) Vasko of Oregon, OH, Tracy Davis of Marblehead; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Jim “(Chris) Davis and Tom (Pat) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Carol and son: Larry.

The family would like to thank Denny Keller and Dan Howerth for their friendship and being a great help to Dad, especially this past year.

Per Larry’s request, there will be no services. Instead, there will be a celebration of his life on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 12:00 noon – 3:00 pm at Port Clinton Elks Lodge #1718, 231 Buckeye Blvd. Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to Port Clinton Elks Staggeroo, Stein Hospice or the donor’s choice.

Larry worked hard, played hard, and enjoyed life to the fullest! Enjoy fishing on that great lake in the sky Dad, where you can catch all of the Pickeral and Perch you want (and the game warden won’t be waiting at the dock).
