Beloved husband of 54 years to the late MaryAnn (nee Konka) Forsyth; loving father of late Dale Forsyth, Lawrence Forsyth, late Daniel Forsyth, Amy Forsyth, step-father of William Noe, Brenda (Douglas) Bodack, Michael (Jody) Zakowski, late Leonard Zakowski, John (Linda) Walker, and father figure to Frank (Darlene) Brodfuehrer and Duke Martin; cherished Poppy of Brian Forsyth, Rosann (Michael) Druckemiller, Jaclyn Bodack, Meghan Zakowski, Chelsea Zakowski, Mackenzie (Ronald) Bailey, Zachary (Angelic) Bodack, Brandon Zakowski, and Hope Forsyth; adored Great-Poppy of Brianne Forsyth, Isabelle Forsyth, Chase Forsyth, Jameson Druckemiller, Conrad Druckemiller, and Leo Bailey; dear brother of Frances (late Stanley) Lisiewski, late Ethel (late John) Goedtel, Martha Forsyth, late Mary (late James) Seeley, David Forsyth, Jean (Robert) Hall, and late James (Mary Jane) Forsyth; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Fred was a Scout Leader with the Boy Scouts of America for over 65 years and a Cub Scout Leader of Cub Pack #120 for over 50 years. Fred was a proud Army Veteran serving as a Paratrooper during the Korean and Vietnam Wars with the 101st Airborne Division. He was also a member of the 187th Airborne Regiment Combat Team and the 82nd Airborne Division Association. He was a founding member of AMVETS Post #897. Fred loved fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. The family will be present on Thursday from 2-7PM at the (Blasdell/Lackawanna Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3450 South Park Ave., where prayers will be said on Friday morning at 8:45AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM at Our Lady of Charity Parish - Holy Family Worship Site (South Park & Tifft).
