Donald “Don” Albert Randall, 84, of Lewis Center, Ohio passed away on July 23rd, 2026, in The Avalon of Lewis Center Senior Living Facility.

He was born on January 8th, 1942, in Urbana to the late Clifford Bowers & Betty (Petty) Randall. His mother married Jack Randall a few years later, and Don took the adopted last name of Randall.

Don was a graduate of Urbana High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Upon returning home, he farmed a bit with the family and then began a long and dedicated career as a millwright at Johnson Manufacturing Company, where he worked from 1972 until the mid-2000s.

Don was gifted with remarkable mechanical ability; he could build, manufacture, or repair nearly anything. Whether tackling a difficult project or helping someone in need, Don's skill, ingenuity, and willingness to lend a hand left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Tractors and tractor pulling were lifelong passions. Don proudly owned a collection of Cockshutt tractors, a Canadian-made brand he greatly admired. His cherished Cockshutt 20, which he began restoring in 1989, remained one of his prized possessions. He also enjoyed competing with his Cockshutt 40, earning over 100 trophies and victories at tractor pulling events throughout the years. He was also a longtime member of the International Cockshutt Club, traveling to shows and gatherings where he enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for antique tractors with fellow collectors and enthusiasts.

Don's love for the pulling sport was shared with his son, Gregg, who was employed by the National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) for more than 32 years. Don was an integral part of assisting and organizing the annual "Enderle Pull-Off" at the Champaign County Fair each September. Don treasured attending these events alongside Gregg and the many friends they made through the tractor pulling community. Don worked behind the scenes with AP Productions and assisting with summer events for the NTPA.

When he wasn't working on tractors or attending tractor pulls, he enjoyed relaxing with a good Western. Above all else, Don cherished family gatherings and especially the Christmas season.

In recent years, Don attended Urbana Free Will Baptist Church. His unwavering love, steady presence, and generous spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Donald is survived by his son, Gregg (Dana) Randall, his granddaughters, who loving called him “Gramps”, Allison (Billy) Slade and Emily Randall; His wife Hazel Organ, her children Mark and Mike Organ; his brothers, Lauren, Norman and Steve Bowers; brother-in-law, Doug (Doris) Boldman; sisters-in-laws, Rita Randall and Sherrie Randall; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving 1st wife of 49 years Naomi Sue (Boldman) Randall; brothers, Bill and John Randall; sister, Jackie Wynn; sisters-in-laws, Janice Mabry and Wilma Brammer.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Friday July 31, 2026, in Vernon Funeral Home, Urbana, Ohio.

Funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor David VanHoose, Pastor Kenny Cordell and Pastor R.J. Davis officiating.

Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Urbana Ohio.
