Sharon Lee Hamilton Pollitt, 72, of Paris, Kentucky, passed away on July 24, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on March 25, 1954, in Lexington, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and thoughtfulness.

Sharon was the beloved wife of Jackie Pollitt for 54 years, and together they shared a long and devoted marriage built on love, loyalty, and companionship. She was a loving mother to her son, Darrin Pollitt, and she treasured her family deeply. She is also survived by her sister, Jennie Blades; her half brother, Randy Hamilton; her four step siblings, Tommy Berry and his wife Betty, Edmon Berry and his wife Sharon, Ray Berry and his wife Sandi, and Marie Merriman; and her best friend, Peggy Hamilton and her husband Carl. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and an uncle who will remember her with affection. She was preceded in death by her parents, William R. Hamilton and Lucille Cheeks Berry; her stepfather, Ed Berry; and her sister, Barbara Caldwell.

Sharon graduated from Paris High School and went on to work at Hansley Mills, Inc., the Bourbon County Citizen Advertiser newspaper, and later served as the secretary at the family business, Quality Heat and Air. She was known as a dependable and hardworking woman who took pride in doing her work well and in supporting those around her. Her presence in the workplace was appreciated for her steady nature and her willingness to help wherever needed.

A faithful Christian, Sharon loved her church and found strength and comfort in her faith throughout her life. She was a member of Wesleyan Church of Winchester and a former member of Clintonville Nazarene Church. Her church family was important to her, and she valued the fellowship, worship, and sense of belonging that came from being part of a congregation.

Sharon enjoyed many simple pleasures in life, and she embraced them with enthusiasm and skill. She loved flower gardening and took joy in caring for what she grew. She was an accomplished quilter who won many ribbons at the fair, a reflection of both her talent and her patience. She was also a University of Kentucky basketball fan and enjoyed cheering on her team. Fishing was another favorite pastime, and she loved it because she was truly good at it. These interests brought her happiness and gave her many cherished memories over the years.

Those who knew Sharon will remember her as a kind, faith-filled, and thoughtful woman whose life touched many others in meaningful ways. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to her family, her steadfast faith, and the warmth she shared with everyone around her. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who loved her.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday July 28, 2026, by Bro. Ronnie Pelfrey at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. Burial will follow in the Paris Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Tuesday July 28, 2026, until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Danny Pollitt, Terry Pollitt, Tommy Berry, Tom Caksey, Wesley Northcutt and Carl Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Berry, Billy Jolly, David Caksey and Jason Pollitt.
