Mr. James Daniel "Danny" Carrico age 82 of Mayfield passed away at 5:32 AM Saturday July 25, 2026 at his residence. He was a active member of the St. Henry Catholic Church in Aurora, attended the St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm, he was a  Park Ranger for Kenlake State Park for 32 years, member of the Knights of Columbus and a Vietnam Army Veteran. 

Danny is survived by 3 sisters- Nora Sue Hathaway of Chicago, IL, Mary Lynne (Kevin) Krill of Mayfield, June Anderson of Mayfield,1 brother- Fred Carrico of Fancy Farm, 2 special nieces- Kimberly (Thomas) Savage of Paducah and their kids- Avery & Conner Savage, Kayla (Greg) Adams of Nortonville, KY and their kids- Paisley & Benny Adams,

several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents- William and Frances Cash Carrico, 1 sister- Nancy Carrico and 3 brothers- Billy, Jerry and Frank Carrico.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday July 29, 2026 at the St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm with Father Darrell Venters officiating, burial will follow in the St. Jerome Cemetery, memorial visitation will be held after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the St. Jerome Catholic Church in Fancy Farm. Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post #26 in Mayfield.
