Joan F. Felderman, 90, passed away on July 24, 2026, after a long and vibrant life.

Visitation will be from 10:00am-12:00pm, Monday, July 27, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Peosta. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12:00pm with Rev. M.J. Groark officiating. A livestream of the funeral mass can be viewed at https://vimeo.com/event/6071847.

Joan was born April 30, 1936, in Dubuque, she was the oldest of nine as the daughter of Howard and Matilda (Besler) McElmeel. She graduated from the Saint Joseph Academy in 1954. She met Tom Felderman when she was 17 years old and they were married on January 6, 1955. They shared 68 wonderful years together until his passing in 2022.

They had 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Joan and Tom were members of Thunder Hills CC for over 50 years. Joan was very active up until her death, even playing golf last week after returning from a California trip to her granddaughter's wedding. Joan worked for the Sisters of Charity BVM for 44 years.

Joan is survived by four children, Mike (Deb) Felderman of Dubuque, Rick (Wendy)Felderman of Peosta, Mark (Michelle) Felderman, of Oldsmar, FL, and Terri Lynn (Kevin) Blake of Queen Creek, AZ; Grandchildren; Stacy (Jim) Hirsch, Brad (Kristine) Felderman, Todd (Laurie) Felderman, Adam (Melissa) Felderman (Melissa), Cory (Cara) Felderman, Holly Ruble, Casey (Kayla) Moriarty, Ariana (Kaylin) Villocino, Madison (Will) Harris and Alexis Blake; sisters Linda Kuhn and Sharon Braem.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom; siblings, Robert, Tommy, Danny, Diane, Lana and Mike.

In Lieu of flowers, A Joan Felderman Memorial Fund has been established.
