Mary Lou (Beavers) Travis, aged 87 of Logan, Ohio, passed away at home on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
Born August 31, 1938 in Logan, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William Jennings Sr. and Dorothy Agnes (Helber) Beavers.


During life, Mary Lou worked for Hocking Valley Industries. She had a great love for bowling, berry-picking, and going to the casino, but most of all Mary Lou enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Tina Marie (Gary) Bowlby of Logan, Ohio; sons, Raymond Stanley (Sherry) Travis Jr. of New Lexington, Ohio and Philip (Jason Plumley) Travis of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Joseph (Lynette) Travis, Brandi Nicole (Andy) Vermillion, William “Billy” Travis Jr., Elizabeth Ann (Roxanne Alvarez) Travis, Philip Alan (Daisy) Travis Jr., Kyle Adam (Bre) Travis; Jeff Travis, Zachary Bridges, and Aaron Bridges; great-grandchildren, Austin Travis, Jaxson Travis, Raven Vermillion, Ariana Vermillion, Emily Travis, Harrison Travis, and Edison Travis; brother, Ronald E. (Tina) Beavers of Murray City, Ohio; sisters, Katherine (Timothy) Whiteman Sr. of Sugar Grove, Ohio, Evelyn (Dave) Pierce of Lancaster, Ohio, Bernice (Robert) Same of Columbus, Ohio; brother-in-law, Roy Chapman; and sister-in-law, Gladys Beavers.


Aside from her parents, Mary Lou is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Stanley Travis Sr.; daughter, Rita Ann Travis; son, William Bryan Travis; grandchildren, Eric Wayne Travis, Heather Dawn Travis, and Mikey Miller; great-grandchild, Brandon Travis; brothers, William J. Beavers Jr., Walter Beavers, Donald E. Beavers, and Johnny Beavers; and sisters, Jessie Mae Beavers, Carrie Jeanette Beavers, Nellie Faye Schmidt, Dorothy Johnson, Ruth Ann Emmons, Sharon Chapman, and Brenda Beavers.


A funeral service officiated by Reverend Chuck Fidler will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio at 1 PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Marion Township, Hocking County, Ohio.


Visitation will be held at the Roberts Funeral Home from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, and from 12 PM until time of service on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
