Evelyn Lynn Cartee Justice, 70, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026. Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Weldon Montgomery and Addie Lucinda Harris Cartee. She was previously employed with Jackson Mills and was a member of Gospel Light Tabernacle.

Survivors include a son, Michael Edward Mathis, Jr. and his wife, Kristy Lydia-Mathis; two daughters, Christy Morgan and her husband, Eddie Morgan and Cathy Rex; a sister, Mary Scott; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Renee Mathis; and a brother, William Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Stribling Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12PM until 1PM prior to the service. Interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.
