It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Juan Ruiz, known as Johnny, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. Born on January 27, 1937, in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, Juan peacefully departed this world on July 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. His indomitable spirit and unwavering faith provided comfort to all who knew him.

Juan dedicated over 25 years of his life working as a foreman at Vikings Yacht, where he was respected not only for his remarkable work ethic but also for his kindness and camaraderie. He was a devout Catholic, whose faith was evident in the gentle and loving way he lived his life. His devotion to his beliefs and his family was an inspiration to all.

Married to the love of his life, Gloria Marquez, for over 40 beautiful years, Juan cherished every moment with her, building a life filled with love and laughter. Together, they created a loving and supportive home for their children, who, along with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, survive him. His siblings, who shared in the joys and challenges of life, also remain to celebrate his legacy.

Juan had a zest for life that was contagious. He loved playing dominoes and listening to old Spanish music, finding simple pleasures in the rhythm and melodies that connected him to his roots. He took great pride in the upkeep of his home and yard, a testament to his dedication and love for creating a beautiful life for his family.

Known for his warm smile and infectious laughter, Juan had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome. A kind soul, he never met a stranger, and his cheerful greetings made everyone he encountered feel like family. His legacy of love, warmth, and kindness will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.

A graveside service to honor Juan's life will be held on July 27, 2026, at 12:00pm, at Zion Cemetery, 651 Zion Road, Egg Harbor Township. The procession to Zion Cemetery will start from Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations to his widow are welcome to assist with funeral costs.

Juan Ruiz will be remembered as a beacon of warmth, love, and laughter. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he touched. Amen
