Elaine Perez, 89, of Northfield, NJ, passed from this life into eternal life of July 23, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, on June 5, 1937. The daughter of Harry and Lillian (Reese) Kellis.

Elaine spent the first six years of her life growing up in Philadelphia. Harry then moved the family to Atlantic City. Harry was an avid fisherman who loved the ocean. All the children spent a great deal of time on Atlantic City Inlet beaches. Elaine is predeceased by her son Carl McCamm in 2023, two brothers Albert (Stephanie) and Norman (Joan).

Elaine worked at Resorts Hotel and Casino for 27 years, from 1978 to 2005. Most of those years she worked as a veteran seating hostess where she excelled at her job with bouncy, encouraging bright personality. She proved to be a delight to people. People from work still remember her after 21 years. Elaine loved light travel, mostly day trips, fishing with her soul mate Anthony, eating veggies from their garden and loved watching classic movies, Laurel and Hardy and The Three Stooges.

Elaine is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Anthony Perez, a granddaughter, Carla, four great grandchildren, Sammy, Chance, Jesse and Athena, a niece, Barbara Reitmeyer (Jesse) and great nephews, Justin Reitmeyer and Billy Mong

Elaine's Celebration and Testimonial will be held at Northfield Baptist Church, Northfield, NJ on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Visitation will be 11:00am to 12:00pm, service will begin at 12:00pm.

Family asks in lieu of flowers, donate to Elaine's favorite sponsorship, The Atlantic County Rescue Mission.
