Lola Dawn Morgan, 90, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026 in Childress, Texas.

Lola was born on April 24, 1936 in Paris, Texas to the late Beachem Garrett and Zealma (Horton) Garrett.

Services are scheduled for Friday, July 24, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church with Mr. Terry Williams officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Childress Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Johnson Funeral Home.

Lola owned and operated Kay’s Drive-in in Childress for 40+ years. She loved gambling and she loved to travel, especially to Vegas, and to watch the horse races. Lola loved to go shopping; fashion was well understood, and she was always dressed to the nines. She enjoyed keeping up with her looks and would go to the beauty shop once a week. Lola was multitalented; she was an incredible homemaker, baker, seamstress, and floral arrangement artist.
