​Susan Kay Corrales, born April 10, 1935, in Michigan, passed away July 21, 2026 at the age of 91.

​Susan moved to Glendale, California, at a young age. After marrying Zeal Smith in 1953, the couple settled in Sylmar, California. Following his passing in 1961, she continued to live in Sylmar until 1988. Over the years, Susan also resided in Agua Dulce, California, and Chino Valley, Arizona (1997–2021), before making her home in Tehachapi in 2021.

​Susan was an avid equestrian and an active member of several horse clubs, most notably Corral 22, where she spent many years riding and building lasting friendships. She rode horses for over 75 years; her last ride was at the age of 86.

​She is lovingly remembered by her son, Craig Smith (Patricia) of Tehachapi, California; her brother, Jim Ulrey (Gwen) of La Pine, Oregon; her grandchildren, Jared Smith (Brittny) and Jennifer Smith (Chester Pool); Duane Halcomb; her nieces, Kathy Peterson (Glenn), Jami Boys, Marci Cody, and Amy Page; her nephew, Adam Ulrey; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Smith and Makayla Halcomb.

​Susie had many friends. She loved and was loved by them, and she will be greatly missed by all.
