Lonnie Shannon Kincaid (Bub), 57, of Buckhannon, formally of Crawford,

passed away Friday, July 17 th , 2026 at Holbrook on the Hill Nursing Home. He was

born in Weston on March 20, 1969. He was preceded in death by his father,

Lonnie R. Kincaid and is survived by his mother, Linda Houghton of Buckhannon.

Cherishing Bub’s memory are his sisters, Sharmalee Moore of Beaufort SC

and Shelia Kincaid of Grafton WV, his brother Jason Kincaid of Ireland, WV and

several nieces and nephews.

Bub was a graduate of Braxton County High School with the class of 1987;

he then furthered his education at WV Business College obtaining an associate’s

degree in Business Management.

Bub never met a stranger and genuinely enjoyed being around people.

With a quick wit and an easy smile, he loved making others laugh and could

brighten any room he entered. One of his greatest joys was spending time fishing,

finding peace and happiness on the water. He also had a passion for woodworking

and cabinetry, taking great pride in creating beautiful pieces with his hands.

During his years in Indiana, he worked as a limousine and tour bus driver, a career

that perfectly suited his friendly personality and love of meeting new people. He

will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and the lasting impression

he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Lonnie’s final wishes of cremation are being upheld by Hardman Family
