William Thomas Freeman Obituary
William Thomas Freeman, 79, of Atkins, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at Little Rock Baptist Medical Center. He was born October 30, 1946, in Lamar, Arkansas, son of the late Floyd O. Freeman and Virginia Powell Freeman.
He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dean Freeman; sister, Pat Coppak; grandchildren, Tiffany Freeman and Jonah Schmoll.
He is survived by wife of 58 years, Vonda Black Freeman; daughter, Melissa Schmoll (Brad); son, Glen Freeman (Amanda); brother, Oscar Dewayne Freeman (Linda); 6 grandchildren, Tyler Schmoll, Riley Schmoll, (Mallory LaRue), Benjamin Freeman, Austin Freitag, Ashley Freitag and Tyler Freitag; 3 Great-Grandchildren, Harper Schmoll, Hadlea Schmoll and Patrick McKenzie and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Atkins First Free Will Baptist with Bro. Johnny McCoy officiating. Burial is in Bells Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are Billy Harris Jr., Holten Lee, Bobby Possage, Adam Land, Jesse Harris, Kevin Hogan, Jamie Gray and Garrett Hogan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Schmoll and Riley Schmoll.
