Arthur Harold Newton, 82, a second generation Nevadan, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, in Reno, Nevada. Born in Reno on October 6, 1943, Arthur graduated from Reno High School and attended the University of Nevada, Reno. He served in the Nevada Air National Guard before spending his career as a member of Operating Engineers Local 3. Arthur enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping throughout his life and was a member of several local and national hunting and conservation organizations. He is survived by his wife, Dolores "Dody" Newton; his son and daughter in law, Gerald "Jerry" and Misty Newton; and his grandson, Harold "Harry" Newton. A graveside committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Masonic Gardens at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno.
