Toby E. Hoffman, 81, of Saw Mill Road, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Nursing & Rehabilitation at The Mansion.

He was born on Aug. 7, 1944, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Max and Pauline (Boyer) Hoffman. His passing breaks a union of 42 years to Lisa L. Yeager.

Toby was a graduate of Warrior Run High School.

He enlisted in the Air Force on Aug. 17, 1962, served during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge on Aug. 16, 1966.

He was employed with Branch Motor Express until its closing. He then owned and operated the Brass Key for 24 years from 1983 until illness forced his retirement in 2007.

He had a great love for Harley Davidson and his pets, Elka, Indy, Sassy and his many cats through the years.

Toby was involved in many local organizations, including life member and past commander of the Sunbury VFW Post #1532, a member of the American Legion Post #201, Free & Accepted Masons, Milton, life member of the Sunbury Social Club and Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 181.

He is survived by one brother, Fred, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Richard.

Toby's family would like to offer special thanks to Home Instead for providing excellent in-home care.

At his request, there will be no funeral services.
