The family of Dennis Richard Rodriguez, 66, of Gonzales, announces with deep sadness and much love, Dennis’s passing on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.

Dennis was born on March 9, 1960 in Gonzales to Doroteo Rodriguez and Stella Proa. Dennis was a loving and devoted father to 5 children. He will be remembered for his unparalleled wisdom, infectious sense of humor, and generous spirit. His lifelong passions include family BBQ’s, woodworking, and a multitude of other outdoor activities.

Dennis is survived by his loving by his adoring family, his loving wife of 25, years, Barbara Rodriguez, beloved children, Denise Rodriguez (David), Thomas Rodriguez (Ashley), Letisha Rodriguez (Roy), Devin Contreras (Jade), Kianni Rodriguez, his cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Joshua, Thomas, Jr, Acen, Ambree, Fey and his great-grandson, Thomas Rodriguez, III, sisters, Liz Hernandez (Lorenzo), Diane Serna (Juan), Linda Almaguer (Bruno), Dorothy Rodriguez (Robert), Julie Mirales (Marty), Debbie Cantu, and Peggy Villareal, brothers, Randy Rodriguez, and Daniel Rodriguez (Rosalinda). He was preceded in death by his father, grandchildren, Trezden and Braxton Rodriguez, brothers, David Rodriguez and Lupe Zavala and sister, Barbara Gonzales.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm Saturday in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm in Seydler-Hill with Pastor Lynn Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Gonzales Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Thomas Rodriguez, Roy Barron, Dylan Rodriguez, Joshua Longoria, Thomas Rodriguez, Jr, and David Juarez.
