Marcia Kathryn Davis, 75, of Ocean City

Marcia Kathryn Davis, 75, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 9th, after battling an illness for a long time. Born in Philadelphia, PA to James and Kathryn McMenamin (Powers), Marcia spent her life radiating vibrant energy, determination, and a wonderful entrepreneurial spirit.

She was a proud graduate of Mount St. Joseph’s Academy (The Mount) in Flourtown, PA, Class of 1968.

For many years, she successfully operated her own business before serving as the dedicated Condominium Account Underwriting Manager for Heist Insurance Agency in Ocean City, where she expertly oversaw coastal properties and built deep, lasting friendships. To her family, however, her greatest title was always 'Grammy.' For over 40 years, she loved nothing more than hosting warm gatherings for her children and grandchildren, filling her home with laughter, love, and a steady, comforting heartbeat.

She is survived by her loving children: Shannon O’Brien and her husband James; Christian Davis and his wife Katie and Erin Ludy and her husband Jason. She also leaves behind ten beloved grandchildren who will forever carry her vibrant memory forward - Nathan, Kyle, Samantha, Emily, Abby, Hannah, Tyler, Savannah, Andrew and Allison.

Honoring her personal wishes, memorial celebrations will be held privately. For details regarding services and arrangements, please contact the family directly. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marcia’s name to the American Cancer Society or the Jefferson Weinberg ALS Center to support vital research and patient care.

As we mark what would have been her 76th birthday on July 25th, we invite you to honor Marcia by living with the same strength and care for others that she modeled for us every single day.
