Frances M. Williams of Freedom, NY, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw at the age of 91.

She was born on March 21, 1935, in Centerville, NY, and was the daughter of the late Elton "Jack" and Pauline (Frazier) Hatch.

Fran was a self-employed beautician who owned and operated Fran's Country Curl in Centerville for many years. She had previously worked at William Hair Fashion in Yorkshire.

She loved camping, enjoyed crocheting, and cherished taking trips with her friends. An avid NASCAR fan, she attended the Daytona 500 for five years.

She married her beloved husband, Clair D. Williams, on May 29, 1954, in Centerville. They shared 65 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on May 25, 2020.

Fran is survived by her children, Randy (Angie Noel Balcom) Williams of Bliss and Tracey (William) Barnetson of Freedom; her granddaughter, Sam (Colin Kosmerl) Barnetson of Arcade; her step-granddaughters, Alex (Ben) Stanford of Holland and Lee (Joe) Seda of Washingtonville, NY; her sister, Glenda (the late Bill) Sprague of Delevan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life which will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 1pm-4pm at the Arcade VFW, 550 W. Main St., Arcade. Final interment will be held in Freedom Cemetery.
