Rosalie May Anderson Obituary
It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of our Mother and Grandmother, Rosalie May Anderson. Mom passed away peacefully Thursday, July 9th, 2026, at the age of 103.
Rosalie was born June 5th, 1923, in Ashland, Wisconsin to Axel and Edna Anderson. In her late teens she met a young, ambitious man, on a small farm in Ashland, who would quickly become the love of her life. She and Jack married November 15th, 1941. They relocated to Milwaukee where they built their home and raised their four children. Rosalie and Jack were married for 69 years and had the privilege of spending all of those years in the same house, watching their grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Through the years many holidays were spent with extended family at their home. Though the pages have been turned, and the years have passed, the memories will always remain.
Preceded in death by her husband Jack (2011), son Jack Jr. (1967), parents, Axel and Edna, siblings, Dorothy, Raymond and Charlotte.
Survived by her children Bunny (Rick), Jim (Chris), Kathy (Carl). Grandchildren, Steve (Keary), Debbie, Karrie, Shelley (Dave), Nicky (Carl), Lisa (John), Amy (Paul), Sarah (Kevin). Great-grandchildren Devari (Matt), Dylan (Maddie), Zach (Maria), Dani, Kyle, Alec, Sommer, Jack, Matt, Olivia, Alex. Great-great-grandchildren, Sloane, Weston, Hadley, Charlie, Thiago, and nieces and nephews.
Our family had the immense honor of many, many wonderful years with our Mother and Grandmother. She was the true matriarch of our family. We are grateful that our Lord has called Mom home to rest in peace, until the day we will all be together again.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at ASCENSION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1236 S. Layton Blvd (South 27th St.) Milwaukee, WI from 9:30 AM -10:45 AM. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Dr. Brookfield, WI at 1:00 PM. Please meet in the red parking area.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
