Venetia Leyba, nee Kritikos, beloved wife of Dr. Richard Leyba; loving mother of Christian (Maya) Leyba, Nicolas Leyba, Alexa (Steven) Khatchadourian, Dana (Edward) Francois, and Mia (Jordan) Ross; cherished grandmother of Coco and Luca Leyba, Ava Ross, Emilia Francois, and Dino Khatchadourian; devoted daughter of the late Tina and Alex Kritikos; dear sister of Emmanuel “Mike” (Tina), Angelo (Betty), and Louie (Allison) Kritikos; fond sister-in-law, cousin, and aunt to many.

Venetia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister whose unconditional love was the foundation of her family. She faced life’s challenges with remarkable strength, grace, and resilience. As an Occupational Therapist, she dedicated her career to helping others with the same compassion and kindness she shared with everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 14th from 4-8 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago, IL 60646. Friends and family will meet on Wednesday, July 15th for a funeral service at 11 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church 2701 N. Sheffield Ave. Chicago, IL 60614.
