Van Wilkerson Obituary
Van Daris Wilkerson of Atkins, Arkansas passed on July 9, 2026 at his home. He was born in Morrilton, Arkansas on August 11, 1947 to Ottis and Etta Mary Nichols Wilkerson.
He loved playing with his tractor and back hoe clearing our property and spending time with his family. He spent his retirement years sailing on Lake Dardanelle spending time with his marina buddies. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict.
He is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Evie Wilkerson, brother Larry Wilkerson, sisters Edith Rupple and Donna Isom.
He is survived by his wife, Angie, sons, Gregg and children, Alex and Phoenix, Jeremy and daughter Emma, and Glenn and son Jaycen, all of Atkins, brother Kenneth Wilkerson of Chickalah, Arkansas, sister Jackie Cook of Greenbrier, Arkansas and many many nieces, nephews and friends.
A family conducted celebration of life will be Wednesday, July 15, 2026, 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Lemley Funeral Services in Atkins. Private services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family request that you make a donation in his honor to St Jude’s Children Hospital or Ronald McDoanld’s House.
