Whitney Elizabeth Joy Jukes Obituary
JUKES, Whitney Elizabeth Joy – Passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at the age of 38. Loving daughter of Rick and Kim Jukes. Cherished sister of Kyle Jukes (Julie). She will be dearly missed by her cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and extended family members, as well as her boyfriend James.
Born and raised in St. Catharines, Whitney proudly called the city home throughout her life. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, infectious sense of humour, and her remarkable ability to remember everyone’s birthday, making those around her feel seen and celebrated.
Whitney found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and treasured every opportunity to spend time with her family and friends. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Royal Henley, where she found great joy in connecting with residents, sharing laughter, stories, and genuine companionship. As a proud and active member of the Special Olympics community, Whitney formed lifelong friendships and inspired everyone around her with her enthusiasm, determination, and kind heart.
A lifelong soccer enthusiast, Whitney was affectionately known as a “part-time player,” creating treasured memories alongside her dad, who proudly coached her, every other Saturday on the soccer field. Away from the field, she could often be found at the bowling alley, always striving for another strike or a new personal best while enjoying the camaraderie of her bowling friends.
Whitney was a true Disney fanatic whose eyes lit up at the magic of her favourite characters and films. Some of her happiest memories were the trips she shared with her family to the Magic Kingdom. She also dreamed of and adored Paris, a place that captured her heart and imagination. She was an avid reader and always enjoyed a good book. Her love of classic movies and the music of the 1980s reflected her fun, nostalgic spirit and was just another part of what made her so uniquely Whitney.
Whether she was sharing a laugh, cheering on her teammates, volunteering in her community, or enjoying a favourite Disney movie, Whitney had an extraordinary gift for bringing joy to those around her. Her warmth, laughter, and loving spirit will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
