Richard Ronald Bernacki, 77, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, at Community Hospice Hospital. He was born on January 21, 1949, in New Jersey. Rich was a proud civil engineer whose career took him to projects across the country. He was known for his kindness, bold and energetic personality, strength of character, and generous heart. He embraced life with enthusiasm and was always excited about each new day. Rich believed in giving back through volunteering and making a difference in the lives of others. He enjoyed running and often said that life itself felt like a run-full of energy, movement, and purpose. He also loved motorcycle rides and traveled all over the country on his motorcycle with his wife, Nancy. He cherished time with his family and lived life with passion and purpose. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren McLaughlin; his brother, Robert Bernacki; his wife, Nancy Bernacki; stepdaughter, Kellie Batangan Galinak and husband Jonathon Roy Galinak; stepson, Ryan Batangan and wife Olive Ywayan Batangan; granddaughter, Natalia Vienne Batangan. He is also survived by extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Community Hospice Hospital for the exceptional care provided. Memorial service will follow at a later date.
