CLYDE – A Celebration of Life Service for Andrew Daniel “Danny” Bryson, 60, of Clyde, will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Smoky Mountain Cremations and Funeral Service in Maggie Valley.

Danny was born on January 10, 1966, the son of the late Robert Perry and Keneitha Welch Bryson. He went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, July 4, 2026. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ralph and Ethel Bryson and maternal grandparents William “Bill” and Louisa Norman Welch.

Danny was a loving husband, father, and amazing friend. Besides his family, his greatest pleasure was riding his motorcycle with friends and spending time making everyone around him laugh. Danny worked for Blossman Gas (Viking Transport) for twenty years as a transport driver where he made many connections and many friends.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 25 years, Keely; son, Caleb and daughter, Kaylee, of the home; mother-in-law Jean Goodwin of Canton; Sister-in-law Elaine Rhymer (Michael) of Waynesville, Sister-in-Law Gina Gaspard (Scott) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Nephews Lance Pierce (Polya) of Panama City Beach, Florida; Beau and Powell Gaspard of Baton Rouge. Aunt Melissa Welch of Canton, Uncle Bruce Welch (Marlene) of Clyde and cousin, Amie Owens of Franklin and a multitude of friends.

Danny was known and loved by so many from all walks of life. Jokingly he was often asked if he knew everyone in Haywood County. He had an amazingly generous spirit and would help anyone who needed it. Danny had an incredible, unique laugh and a voice that was identifiable even in a crowd. Danny would find a way to include everyone in his shenanigans, and if he found something to use to tease you about, you knew he would use it as often as he could. He had a heart-swelling patriotism and love of his country that was only surpassed by his love for his wife and children. He was extremely proud of his children and bragged on them to anyone who would listen.

Danny’s passion for classic cars and motorcycles was something that he carried from his childhood and you could often find him working on a new project. He was blessed by a close group of friends whom he laughed with, cried with and shared too many special moments to count. For those friends, you know who you are, Keely and the children will always be thankful.
