Cecelia Grey Pringle (Faucett) was born in Berwind, West Virginia on November 27, 1944, to David Alexander and Georgia Ann Faucett. She was one of ten children—sister to David (deceased), Cassandra (Edward), Earl (deceased), Sharon (Richard), Emma (deceased), Janet (deceased), Georgia, Lacy, and Virna.

She married Earnest Ray Pringle, on October 17, 1964. She was the mother of Anthany Ray (deceased), Adrienne Dawn, and Lance Randall, and mother in law to Maria. She was the grandmother of eight—Brian, Ciarra, Courtney, Dominic, Marcus, Anthany, Jacinda, and Adrienne—and the great grandmother of four—Brianique, Shiloh, Macie, and Kailyn. She was also a beloved sister in law, aunt, and friend to many.

My mom loved the Lord during her time on this earth, and in her later years she came to truly understand the depth of salvation and the security we have in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. In those early days before her decline, when she could still express her thoughts clearly, our conversations with her often turned to the beauty of God—His blessings, His mercy, and the gift of salvation purchased by His Son.

As the disease progressed and she grew tired and weary, she still quietly gave thanks and praise to God—and she would sing. Oh, how she loved to sing praises to Him. She truly loved the Lord her God with all her heart, with all her soul, and with all her mind.

In her tender moments with the Lord, she would tell Him she was ready to end this journey. And now, her journey here is complete. She is in the presence of her Savior.

We take comfort in the promises of Scripture:

Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”

John 11:25–27 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.” My mom believed.

Revelation 14:13 - And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

Revelation 21:3–4 - And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

These are not just verses—they are our hope.
