Jacob Andrew David Williamson, age 49, of Ottawa, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa, IL, with Rev. Phillip Potaczek, officiating. Burial will follow at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

Jacob was born September 3, 1976 to Susan (Spohr) Williamson and Rex Williamson in Springfield, IL.

As a child, Jacob learned to ski from his grandparents. His love of skiing turned into a love of traveling the world. He traveled to 23 different countries. One of his favorite places to visit was the Christmas Markets in Germany. He was also an avid fisherman and a dedicated St. Louis Cardinals fan. More than anything though, he loved his 3 cats, Cinder, Chloe, and Pancake.

He is survived by his mother, Susan (Spohr) Williamson of Ottawa, IL; sisters, Amanda (Terry) Muffler of Marseilles, IL (parents of Lilia and Liam), Elizabeth Williamson of Odessa, TX; his father, Rex Williamson of Williamsville, IL; a sister Amy (Ray) Kasper of Westchester, IL. He will be greatly missed by his partner, Amy Rissman of Mendota, IL, his extended family, and his many friends.

He was preceded by his grandparents, Wayne and Donetta Spohr of Ottawa, IL and Robert and Helen Williamson of Williamsville, IL.
