Waynesville, Vickie Bryson Penny, 73, of Waynesville, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Skyland Terrace.
Born in Haywood County, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pauline Bryson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda West, and the father of her daughter, John E. Penny. Mother, you were born blind, but now you can see. Your kind words always brought warmth and smiles to everyone. You are my hero.

Vickie is survived by her daughter, Elissa Penny (Jonathan Lewis); two granddaughters, Elisabeth and Josie Lewis; and a special niece who was like a daughter, Jamie West.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor Gary Putnam officiating.
