Barbara Eileen Perry, 76, of Urbana, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Mercy Health Urbana Hospital.

Barbara was born on May 28, 1950, in Urbana, Ohio, to Wilbert Herman Perry and Evelyn Francis (Burkhard) Perry.

A proud graduate of Urbana High School, Barbara earned her diploma in 1968 before continuing her education at The Ohio State University, where she received her bachelor's degree in 1972.

Barbara was a devoted fan of Ohio State athletics and took great pride in supporting the Buckeyes. She worked for JCPenney and Avon Cosmetics in New York. Barbara also cherished her time living in Boca Raton, Florida, where she enjoyed the sunshine and coastal lifestyle. She was a long-time member of the Champaign County Preservation Alliance and cared deeply about preserving the history of her community.

Barbara is survived by her sisters, Dorothy (Raymond Thomas Lee III) Perry Lee and Carolyn (William Fredrick) Newell; her nieces, Michelle Anne Lee Leonard and Katherine Colleen Lee Hayes; her nephews, Raymond Thomas Lee IV and William Fredrick Newell III; as well as 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.

A memorial service will follow at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Chris Dinnell officiating.
