Alexis Joseph Monaco
Alexis Joseph Monaco, 80, of Monroe Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Penn Medicine Princeton Hospital in Plainsboro, New Jersey.
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Alexis resided in Kendall Park for more than 40 years before moving to Monroe Township. He proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran during the Vietnam War. A graduate of Iona College, Alexis enjoyed a successful career in information technology and data security, working for organizations including Bank of New York, Brooklyn Union Gas, Prudential, and Liberty Mutual. After many years as a Data Security Consultant with Liberty Mutual, he relaxed at home with his wife.
He was an active member of the Rossmoor Veterans Group and the Rossmoor Players. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed woodworking, and cherished the friendships he made through his many interests.
Alexis was the beloved son of the late John and Vera (Manzi) Monaco and the brother of the late Dr. John Monaco. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Linda M. (Skrobola) Monaco; his loving daughter, Ann V. Monaco; and his sisters, Marie Delaney and Teresa Bologna.
Family and friends may visit from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction, New Jersey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park, New Jersey.
Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alexis's memory to the Parkinson's Foundation.
