Shelbi Leigh Pirtle, age 34 passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 26, 1991, to John Sidney and Terry Pirtle. 

She is survived by her mother, Terry Pirtle and her children, Jason Fields and Rosella Bennett, brother, Jon Pirtle (Jamie), sister, Stevie Vandagrifft (Brittney), several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins, and special friend, Jake Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Sidney Pirtle and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Shelbi was a beautiful soul with a beautiful smile. Shelbi’s sparkling personality was enjoyed by all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed braiding hair for friends or family.

She also loved bedazzling things and making them in her terms look “Boujee”.

Her laughter was contagious, even during her illness. She approached life with a free spirit. She was our sunshine and joy. She is loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She will always and forever be our Shelbi girl.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July
