George M. Nace, II Obituary
George M. Nace, II, age 83, of Jefferson, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital on June 27, 2026. He was the loving husband of Margaret T. (Lowe) Nace; together they shared 54 years of marriage.
George was born in York, PA on January 9, 1943 and was the son of the late George and Sylvia (Tyson) Nace. He enjoyed helping others, especially driving for the Amish. George was also a longtime and faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spring Grove.
In addition to his loving wife Margaret, George is survived by his children George Nace, III, Christine Hess, and Brian Nace; his stepchildren Philip Shepp, Jr. and Stanley Shepp; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Parish Center, 1031 Sprenkle Rd., Spring Grove, PA 17362 with Rev. Stephen Kelley as celebrant. He will be laid to rest following the Mass at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 10:00AM – 11:00AM prior to the Mass at Sacred Heart Parish Center.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in George’s memory may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1031 Sprenkle Rd., Spring Grove, PA 17362.
