Mr. Malcolm Angelo Johnson, 75, peacefully entered into eternal rest during the early evening hours of Friday, June 26, 2026, at his residence. Born on September 19, 1950, in Washington, D.C., he was the beloved son of the late Jerome N. Johnson and Margaret Hall Johnson.

Malcolm was a man of dignity, confidence, and impeccable style. He believed in presenting himself with excellence no matter the occasion, and those who knew him will forever remember his sharp attire, warm smile, and welcoming spirit. Whether attending church, traveling, spending time with family, or simply relaxing at home, Malcolm took pride in always looking his very best.

He received his education in the public schools of Washington, D.C., and graduated from Bowie High School. Driven by a deep sense of duty and a desire to serve others, Malcolm enlisted in the United States Army, where he faithfully served his country for twenty years before retiring with honor. Throughout his distinguished military career, his commitment, discipline, and exemplary leadership earned him numerous medals, commendations, and the respect of his fellow servicemen and women.

Following his retirement from military service, Malcolm continued his lifelong mission of helping others by accepting employment with the Veterans Administration in Las Vegas. His compassion for fellow veterans and his unwavering dedication to ensuring they received the care and support they deserved reflected the servant's heart he carried throughout his life. He was admired by colleagues and those he served for his professionalism, integrity, and genuine concern for others.

A devoted man of faith, Malcolm was a faithful member of Dorsett Chapel Church, where he joyfully lifted his voice as a member of the Men's Choir. His love for the Lord was evident through his faithful service and fellowship with his church family.

Outside of his professional and spiritual commitments, Malcolm found great joy in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed watching television, traveling to new places, and shopping for stylish clothing. Looking his best was more than a habit—it was part of who he was. His family often smiled at the fact that he was always impeccably dressed, even for the most casual gatherings. His sense of style, infectious personality, and love for people made him a joy to be around, leaving lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

In addition to his parents, Malcolm was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Daniel Hall.

Although his physical presence will be deeply missed, Malcolm leaves behind a legacy of honor, service, faith, kindness, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Cherishing his precious memories are his sons, Malcolm Johnson, Jr. and Malwan Johnson; his loving sisters, Yvonne Herbert, Deirtre White, Alfreda Raines (Phillip), and Valerie Simpson; his special friend, Pamela Mchombo; along with his cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, church family, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Malcolm's life was a testament to service, perseverance, compassion, and grace. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of faith, honor, and generosity will continue to shine for generations to come.
